Michael Jordan's creative dexterity and stealth put his opponents to the limit and knocked them off balance, earning him the notorious nickname "Black Cat". Throughout the 1997-98 season mj has consistently outperformed his opponents as only he could. Inspired by the predatory nature of a panther, Tinker Hatfield used his tenacity to create Air Jordan XIII. The shoe had an unconventional holographic eye and a sole that resembled a panther leg. The AJ XIII also featured innovations such as a carbon fiber plate and Zoom Air, to offer players the agility of a cat.
