Clarks Originals

Clarks is one of the most historic brands in Europe, it was founded in 1825 in Somerset, England by two brothers, James and Cyrus Clark.
Initially the two specialized in the creation of rugs, but, already in 1828 they started producing the first Clarks shoes, specifically slippers. During the 19th century the brothers gained more and more experience in the field, leading the company to become one of the most advanced in England in the production of footwear, all this made Clarks, in the 1910s, a must among the style-conscious in England, thanks to cutting-edge designs and the use of premium fabrics
If up until that moment Clarks was a well-known company in England, the real consecration as a status symbol came in the 1950s, when Nathan Clark designed the famous Desert boot, inspired by boots from the bazaars in Cairo for British army officers , this simple suede boot was an instant hit and was quickly adopted by subcultures around the world, from rude boys in Jamaica, to beatniks in the United States, from the Brit Pop movement to Hip Hop culture in New York.
