1 Fauteuil Dossier Basculant by Le Corbusier, P. Jeanneret, C. Perriand
0011ZWHTBLK

A light, compact chair designed and presented in 1929 at the Salon d’Automne along with other important models such as the LC2 and LC3 armchairs, the LC6 table and the LC4 chaise-longue. As with all of the pieces by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, the LC1 Fauteuil à dossier basculant derives from an in-depth study of the human posture and, in this particular case, is perfect to relax in and foster conversation. The balance between form and function is achieved through the use of the Modulor, a system based on the typical measurements of the human body and on a mathematical language based on the proportions of universal harmony. The LC1 Fauteuil à dossier basculant small armchair is produced exclusively by Cassina since 1965 in close collaboration with the Fondation Le Corbusier and the heirs of the co-authors.
